Mission
npcrf.org is a non-profit, non-governmental organization. Its mission is honest, factual education: establishing and presenting the factual truth about current affairs and historical subjects, with no room for information that cannot be verified.
Editorial principles
- Facts before narrative. Every article exists to establish what can be shown to be true, not to advance a viewpoint. Where the facts are incomplete, the article says so.
- Verifiability is the bar for publication. A claim that cannot be traced to an identified, checkable source is not published. There are no exceptions for convenient or popular claims.
- Primary sources first. Original records, documents, datasets and first-hand material take precedence over commentary. Secondary sources are used to provide context, not as the basis of fact.
- Independence. The site carries no advertising and no sponsored content. It is funded exclusively by donations, which buy no influence over what is published.
- Transparency. Every article ends with its full list of sources. Errors are corrected openly, with a visible record of what changed. The content is openly licensed (CC BY 4.0) and the site’s code is open source.
- Plain language. Articles are written to be read: sober, precise and free of jargon wherever possible.
How these principles are applied in practice is described in the methodology.
