Mission

npcrf.org is a non-profit, non-governmental organization. Its mission is honest, factual education: establishing and presenting the factual truth about current affairs and historical subjects, with no room for information that cannot be verified.

Editorial principles

  1. Facts before narrative. Every article exists to establish what can be shown to be true, not to advance a viewpoint. Where the facts are incomplete, the article says so.
  2. Verifiability is the bar for publication. A claim that cannot be traced to an identified, checkable source is not published. There are no exceptions for convenient or popular claims.
  3. Primary sources first. Original records, documents, datasets and first-hand material take precedence over commentary. Secondary sources are used to provide context, not as the basis of fact.
  4. Independence. The site carries no advertising and no sponsored content. It is funded exclusively by donations, which buy no influence over what is published.
  5. Transparency. Every article ends with its full list of sources. Errors are corrected openly, with a visible record of what changed. The content is openly licensed (CC BY 4.0) and the site’s code is open source.
  6. Plain language. Articles are written to be read: sober, precise and free of jargon wherever possible.

How these principles are applied in practice is described in the methodology.
